Daniele Ricci was born in Genova in 1962. He currently works in Donoratico (Livorno) where he has his art studio. What today is his great passion started casually after visiting some art exhibitions; today Daniele doesn't miss an oportunity to participate in painting competitions. His paintings are executed with wide strokes of color and without a preliminar sketch, directly recreating views and perspectives. The subjects found in his work vary from wide landscapes to glimpses of town and countryside corners, but also panoramic city views, the palio of Siena and its horses, seascapes and fable characters such as the intricate and fascinating Pinocchio. Either painted on studio or “en plein air”, Ricci's work is an actual research of the form and movement, a personal recreation of reality through the filter of emotions; he prints on the canvas his impulsivity, sensitivity and strength.
